INFANT ROOMS

(6 weeks through approximately 1 year) Our infant rooms are staffed by experienced nurturing caregivers. Your child will receive excellent care in any of our three infant rooms: Ducks, Bugs or the Bunnies. We ask parents to provide diapers, wipes, and bibs. We proudly offer a wide variety of formula types and brands and standard bottles at no additional charge. Please contact the CDC for a current list of formulas available.

Our infant program focuses on parent collaboration to ensure infants develop a sense of trust and an individualized care plan. We offer a loving and caring environment that encourages holistic learning to develop a positive sense of self, basic communications skills, and all fine and gross motor skills. Our teachers are available upon parent request to set up conferences for more detailed conversations.

Parents will be communicated with through daily sheets and calendars that are provided on a weekly basis. Teachers will be engaging in sensory activities so please dress them to play and get dirty. We prefer that your child’s belongings are labelled clearly with their name. Our teachers are available upon parent request to set up conferences for more detailed conversations.

TODDLERS

Our toddler program is designed for children 12-24 months in age. In the Bees, Goldfish and Turtles classrooms, children learn to feel safe and comfortable by following a schedule. A typical day in or toddler program includes self-selected activities, outdoor time and an afternoon snack.

GIRAFFES, MONKEYS, ELEPHANTS and BEARS (Ages 2-3)

Two year olds are in a stage of transition, moving from the dependence of being a toddler to the independent, mobile world of a preschooler. Our two year old teachers work to develop and encourage your child’s growing need for independence. Our teachers work daily to develop verbal skills to teach your children how to communicate. Each child is given the opportunity to build on their strengths and expanding interests through center and teacher directed activities. A typical day includes: self-selected activities (centers), table top activities, breakfast, afternoon snack, morning and afternoon circle, outside time, lunch and nap time.

Teachers will provide a monthly calendar to keep families posted on upcoming classroom activities. Daily communication sheets will be provided to let you know how your child’s is progressing each day. Our teachers are available upon parent request to set up conferences for more detailed conversations.

Preschool (Ages 3-5)

Owls, Dogs and Frogs Our 3K and 4K program are designed to encourage increasing vocabulary development, physical coordination, higher-level thinking and increased social skills. Throughout the day, children have the opportunities to make self-directed and guided choices. Instruction is delivered in large groups, small groups, and individually. We utilize Creative Curriculum which allows courses of study based on the interests of the group. We also incorporate Zoophonics, a phonics based beginning reading program, and Ready to Learn’s: Handwriting without Tears manuscript instruction.

Our teachers communicate through monthly newsletter and or calendars. Our teachers are available upon parent request to set up conferences for more detailed conversations.

We also offer optional programs such as soccer, dance, and gymnastics during the day if parents wish to participate.
